Unit 2 - Future Dreams
This unit is about what we want to become when we grow. Although we couldn't introduce ALL of the possible careers, we picked 9 common careers to discuss. Students are welcome to ask how to say other jobs.
The Can-Do statements for Unit 2 are:
I can say what I want to be when I grow up.
I can name some jobs that people have.
I can say what my family members do for a job.
I can say which family member I want to be like and why.
I can say which celebrities I want to be like and why.
I can say that people work in certain places using the particle “at” and “in”.
We ended the unit with a video-recording of each student saying what they wanted to be. Unfortunately, we ran out of time and did not complete all the videos. I will try to re-visit this later in the year in some form or other, if possible.
